Job Description

Position Overview

Maxim Healthcare in Las Vegas is hiring a Registered Nurse to work with pediatric patients in their own homes. This role is part of the Novice Nurse Training Program designed for new graduate RNs and those with less than 12 months of experience. Under the guidance of an experienced nurse mentor, you will gain hands-on experience in direct patient care, care management, vent/trach/g-tube management, and critical decision-making in a home setting. Enjoy day and night weekend shifts along withCompensation: $40 - $42 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or contracted services.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; monitor and document the effectiveness of interventions and progress toward established goals.
  • Intervene appropriately in response to changes in patient condition and report these changes to the appropriate supervisor and/or physician.
  • Document all physician collaborations and coordination of care in the medical record, communicating information as needed.
  • Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment, ensuring adherence to universal precautions.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • PPD test or chest X-ray if applicable.
