Position Overview
Adaptec Solutions is an industry-leading North American integration partner specializing in diverse material handling and automation with lifecycle service support. This full-time sales role is responsible for managing the full sales cycle—from generating and qualifying opportunities, coordinating resources, and executing sales processes to contract negotiation and project follow-up. The role supports manufacturing, distribution, and warehousing companies and requires the candidate to be based in either Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA, covering territories in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Eastern Tennessee.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline of qualified leads generated from customer inquiries, research, and your network.
- Partner with customers to develop long-term relationships and guide problem resolution discussions.
- Develop monthly and weekly sales plans including prospecting activities and forecasts.
- Sell to multiple decision makers within mid-to-large companies at both technical and business levels.
- Participate in consultative pre-sale meetings to capture customer needs and vision.
- Create technical and commercial proposals based on customer specifications.
- Conduct technical presentations and proposal clarification meetings.
- Collaborate with internal technical resources to develop systems and solutions.
- Manage all aspects of the quoting process including estimating, design, presentation, acceptance, and implementation.
- Regularly update the CRM to track leads, quotes, orders, and maintain accurate customer information.
- Negotiate contracts with customers.
- Coordinate with engineering and operations for project handover, implementation, estimation, and deployment planning.
- Support job implementation by attending planning meetings and design reviews.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, customer expectations, and competition.
- Represent the company at workshops, trade shows, and other marketing events.
- Build and sustain customer relationships by timely email responses, phone calls, and customer visits.
- Travel regularly to visit customers and prospects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or at least five years of experience selling industrial capital equipment or working as an engineer.
- Experience solving complex problems with automation.
- Strong understanding of material handling and engineered products.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- High degree of proficiency in MS Office; experience with CRM software; CAD experience is helpful.
- Willingness to go the extra mile to complete the sale.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Mechanical or Industrial Engineering background.

- Compensation: $75,000 - $115,000 base salary with commission eligibility.
