Your Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes and systems to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to optimize workflows and reduce waste.
- Evaluate, select, and integrate new manufacturing technologies, including automation, robotics, and advanced materials processing.
- Develop and manage manufacturing process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality control plans.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, design engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless product introduction and manufacturability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex manufacturing issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
- Develop and manage the manufacturing engineering budget, including capital equipment investments and project expenditures.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards within the manufacturing operations.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Oversee pilot production runs and scale-up activities for new products and processes.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in manufacturing technology and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering, with a significant focus on process development, optimization, and automation.
- Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred), and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong experience with automation, robotics, PLC programming, and advanced manufacturing equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects from start to finish.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information effectively to all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and statistical analysis tools.
- Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Experience in project management and budget oversight.
- Strong understanding of industry best practices and emerging manufacturing technologies.
