This hybrid role requires a blend of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility, focusing on the design, integration, and testing of complex avionics and aircraft systems. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of aerospace engineering principles and a proven ability to manage intricate system requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, analyze, and manage system requirements for aviation platforms.
- Develop system architecture and design specifications for avionic systems.
- Integrate hardware and software components to ensure seamless system functionality.
- Perform system testing, verification, and validation activities, both in simulated and real-world environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams (electrical, software, mechanical) to resolve design challenges.
- Troubleshoot system-level issues and implement effective solutions.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including requirements documents, design specifications, and test plans.
- Ensure compliance with aviation industry standards and regulations (e.g., FAA, EASA).
- Conduct trade studies and technology assessments to identify optimal solutions.
- Support system deployment, field testing, and customer integration efforts.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in systems engineering within the aviation or aerospace industry.
- Strong understanding of avionics, control systems, and communication systems.
- Proficiency with systems engineering tools (e.g., DOORS, Cameo, MATLAB/Simulink).
- Experience with requirements management, system design, and V&V processes.
- Knowledge of aerospace standards and regulations (e.g., ARP4754, DO-178C).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site and remote collaboration.
- Familiarity with simulation and modeling techniques.
