Job Description

Position Overview

We are thrilled to invite you to join Sutter Health at MPHS-Mills-Peninsula Medical Center. This role offers a $10,000 SIGN-ON BONUS and provides overall operational and clinical nursing leadership in an inpatient setting. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing nursing operations to ensure effective patient care while maintaining compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall operational and clinical nursing leadership for an inpatient department.
  • Plan, organize, and manage nursing operations and resources for effective patient care.
  • Establish protocols and practices to ensure compliance with department, operating unit, and regulatory standards.
  • Identify best practices, standardize workflows, and implement process improvements.
  • Manage capital and operational budgets to meet financial targets.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex challenges.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Valid RN – Registered Nurse license for California, with certifications in BLS and ACLS.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including work in a Stepdown ICU/Intermediate ICU.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with expertise in operational planning, compliance, and budget management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Experience managing capital and operational budgets.
  • Proven ability in process improvements and standardizing workflows.

Benefits & Perks

  • Compensation: $98.30 to $157.28 per hour – based on experience, education, skills, and certifications.

  • Full-time schedule (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend requirements).
