The Hospital Service Technician I is responsible for equipment management tasks within the hospital, ensuring seamless workflow and high-quality service. The role demands continual improvement in equipment quality, reliability, and value, along with maintaining professional relationships with hospital staff.
Schedule: Part time, Monday and Wednesday (2:30p-11p) and every other weekend (7a-3:30p)
Location: Norton Children's Hospital, Louisville, Kentucky
Key Responsibilities
- Delivers equipment to patient rooms or standby locations in patient-ready condition with appropriate software, accessories, and disposables.
- Communicates confidently with clinical staff regarding equipment features and functionality.
- Provides quality service, meets customer and company metrics, and adheres to established quality standards.
- Picks up, cleans, and processes equipment, preparing it for patient use following all company and hospital protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Requirements: Customer service experience is required.
- Basic computer skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency off-hours to support a 24/7 schedule.
- Physical ability to lift and/or push up to 75 pounds, stand and walk for long periods, and perform frequent bending, stooping, twisting, climbing, crouching/squatting, kneeling/crawling, and sitting.
