Executive Summary

HRUCKUS is looking for an experienced Data Center Critical Facilities Engineer II to support the physical deployment, monitoring, testing, preventive maintenance, capacity planning, and repair of data center equipment and associated infrastructure.

Position Description

The Data Center Critical Facilities Engineer II will support ongoing infrastructure projects, assist the primary onsite critical facilities resource, and manage everything from structured cabling and equipment decommission to disaster recovery and end-to-end monitoring.

Position Responsibilities

• Support physical deployment and maintenance of data center technologies and infrastructure.
• Perform end-to-end monitoring, testing, capacity planning, preventive maintenance, and repair of data center equipment.
• Support electrical, alarming, and monitoring systems according to vendor specifications.
• Assist with structured copper and fiber cabling, cable testing, cabinet consolidation, and documentation.
• Support hardware installs, break and fix activities, and equipment decommissions.
• Participate in disaster recovery and preventive maintenance activities.
• Document procedures and communicate status and progress to stakeholders.
• Work independently while partnering with the primary onsite critical facilities resource.

Required Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of related data center infrastructure and critical facilities experience.
• Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on structured copper and fiber cabling and cable testing experience
• Working knowledge of cooling and electrical systems concepts inside a data center.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Ability to work independently in a fully onsite environment.
• Exposure to data center monitoring and alarm systems.
• Experience with large scale data center infrastructure projects.
