Under the direction of the IS Assistant Manager the SharePoint Administrator will design, develop and implement the Agency’s SharePoint Intranet, Extranet and other collaborative Team Sites. The SharePoint Administrator will work with vendors and consultants to organize and deliver web solutions and provide customer support to both NCPA employees and members. Meet with various departments to develop custom sites, integrate workflow processes and assist with document library structuring. This position will also be responsible for managing and updating the Agency’s public Internet website. Perform maintenance duties such as upgrading web software and monitoring web usage. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to complete quality and timely work with minimal supervision.
Your Responsibilities
- Work with vendors and consultants to help design, brand and structure SharePoint implementations.
- Assist to define, implement and maintain a governance model that provides structure for appropriate usage of the SharePoint Intranet, Extranet and Internet sites.
- Responsible for SharePoint availability, reviewing user activity, error logs, site statistics and responding to problems.
- Assist and train authorized SharePoint Site Administrators to properly structure and organize content.
- Responsible for testing, web applications, developing plans, implementing and maintaining assigned sites.
- Maintain the necessary access permissions to provide user security to web sites and pages.
- Provide SharePoint end user support for both NCPA employees and members.
- Occasionally be called upon to operate personal vehicles to travel to NCPA remote field sites to provide support of remote users.
- Responsible for conducting independent communications with user departments in a cooperative and professional manner.
- Will occasionally be called upon to be available outside normal working hours to provide emergency system support as necessary, as well as planned maintenance.
- Regularly required to sit at a computer, and requires manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate and adjust office equipment such as computers.
- Keep up to date with related SharePoint technologies through training, product research and participating in conferences and user groups.
Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree in CIS, IS, MIS or related field; and three years of extensive SharePoint related experience and/or training. Must be proficient working with Microsoft Active Directory and related networking concepts, IIS, and SQL Database Servers. Experienced working within a virtualized environments a plus. Microsoft Certification preferred: 70-668 Microsoft SharePoint Administrator.
Computer Skills
Must be an expert in Microsoft SharePoint technologies and integration with Microsoft Office software. Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and basic understanding of HTML and CSS technologies. Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory server services and networked environments is mandatory. Computer equipment and capabilities, microcomputers, data communications and local area networking, relational database and client-server software. Knowledge of, technical report writing, systems analysis techniques, data base management concepts, and management information system concepts.

California driver's license and insurance.
