Job Description

Position Overview

Under the direction of the Service Management Manager, this position is responsible for application development across all phases of the software development lifecycle—including conception, design, testing, production, and maintenance—on the ServiceNow platform. As a junior-level developer, you will work closely with senior developers and business analysts in an agile environment to analyze requirements, design, build, and document system specifications. This role provides technical guidance on medium-sized projects or segments of large projects and involves collaborating with campus stakeholders to resolve diverse issues. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop applications using all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with senior developers to analyze, design, build, and document specifications on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Support discovery and requirements gathering in an agile development environment.
  • Provide technical guidance while adhering to IT practices, community standards, and policies for projects of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Work with campus stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have current work authorization for a UCR staff position.
  • Demonstrated ability or willingness to work in an agile development environment.
  • Basic knowledge of the software development lifecycle and familiarity with ServiceNow application development.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Benefits & Perks
