Position Overview

Our client is a top tier Quant based Trading Fund in NYC currently seeking a Lead/Director Technology Recruiter for a highly successful, growing Quant Trading firm. Ideal candidate must bring a proven track record of successfully owning the technical talent/recruiting process at a premier thematic, algo, or quant based trading fund/firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and interview candidates for assigned searches (Quantitative Researchers, Machine Learning Engineers, Software Engineers, Traders, and Business Operations).
  • Lead recruitment efforts for "hard to fill" roles in quantitative finance, equity trading, and technologists.
  • Deep understanding of sourcing tools, technologies, and best practices.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for technical talent acquisition, advising executive leadership on recruitment strategies, workforce planning, and talent pipeline development.
  • Develop a talent acquisition strategy to attract, select, and close top talent.
  • Partner with the head of business to define role requirements and create compelling job descriptions.
  • Oversee all aspects of the employee on-boarding process from background checks to orientation, including preparation of new hire packages and documents.
  • Implement changes that enable Technology to drive key growth initiatives.
  • Leverage proven experience leading global sourcing and/or executive recruiting functions in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to attract and engage prospects with a focus on strategic recruiting.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience Required: A minimum of 9+ years of related human resources professional experience and/or training, with at least 7 years in talent acquisition or sourcing including executive search.
  • Familiarity with executive search, full cycle recruitment, internal mobility, and workforce planning.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with an ability to listen effectively.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow effectively.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
