Sr. Software Programmer

Position Overview

Vista Global Solutions, LLC., as part of Bristol Bay Native Corporation, provides specialized IT support services to various government customers. We help our clients leverage technology with total confidence in its predictability, security, and reliability. We are currently seeking a qualified Software Programmer to support our contract at Brooke Army Medical Center, located on Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, in San Antonio, TX.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new or modify existing programs and code.
• Provide technical support for locally developed programs.
• Perform systems analysis and design; translate system requirements into a conceptual system design.
• Apply programming languages and techniques to create programming specifications and code.
• Develop security procedures to prevent unauthorized database access and implement control measures to ensure database consistency with standards.
• Correct user-identified issues, assess system change requests, and implement approved enhancements and state-of-the-art improvements.
• Assist with modifications to clinical and administrative systems; maintain software systems that organize, store, retrieve, and manipulate frequently changing data.
• Collaborate with Senior Software Programmers to design and refine code and programs.
• Perform on-call duty during evenings, weekends, and holidays to support customer technicians and resolve critical issues.

Required Qualifications

• Five (5) years of programming experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Software Programming.
• Experience deploying client-server applications and developing ASP.NET web applications; familiarity with Telerik, ASP.NET AJAX, or C# is desired.
• Must meet IAT Level II requirements as defined in DOD 8570-01-M, such as Baseline certifications (CompTIA Security+) and a Windows Server OS certification (CompTIA Server+, MCSA Windows Server 2016) or an equivalent programming certification.
