Position Overview

We are a Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Consulting Engineering firm based in the Inland Empire/San Bernardino, CA area with a branch office in Downtown Edmonds. A forward thinking and innovative company, we design sustainable and resilient buildings and facilities through HVAC and plumbing systems in various sectors including Municipal, Educational, Military, Commercial, and Medical. We work in a BIM 3D environment using REVIT MEP. Our flexible, hybrid work approach (2 days remote, 3 days in-office) supports diverse schedules. We are seeking a dynamic Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager who thrives on customer service, effective communication, and collaboration with both clients and our design team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commission buildings and apply in-depth knowledge of various HVAC systems.
  • Perform quality control backchecks of Mechanical and Plumbing plans.
  • Mentor designers and project managers, and help develop continuing education and training programs.
  • Formulate cohesive design solutions that meet client and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with all project participants ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Oversee construction administration including RFIs, review of shop drawings, and submittals.
  • Engage in project management, client development, and team development.
  • Participate in proposal writing and client development, with particular experience in medical/hospital projects.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-15+ years of experience in HVAC and Plumbing design with the ability to produce complete, biddable construction documents.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, including managing meetings, designers, and draftspersons, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong familiarity with applicable codes and methods of construction.
  • Ability to multi-task across different projects efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to maintain and build client relationships.
  • Knowledgeable in commercial, educational, and municipal construction projects.
  • Minimum 5 years of commissioning experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Being a LEED certified professional is a plus.
