Respiratory Sales Representative
We are a growing respiratory company specializing in treating the most challenging respiratory patients inside the home by pairing best-in-class technology and equipment with the clinical care of a full-time Respiratory Therapist. Our mission is to educate, nurture, and inspire our patients to lead better lives. Our Disease Management program, recognized nationally, has resulted in a 30-day COPD re-admission rate of 5.7% compared to the industry average of 20-22%, with over 93% of our patients reporting they “Breathe Better” on our program.
As a Respiratory Sales Representative, you will work alongside clinical teams to ensure a smooth transition from hospital to home. You will be responsible for field-based business development, building relationships with healthcare decision-makers, and driving growth within your assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Market VieMed’s disease management program to potential and existing referral sources.
- Develop sales territory action plans and call strategies by applying clinical, consultative, and strategic selling skills.
- Coordinate and provide educational presentations and in-services for healthcare providers.
- Manage account activity, sales documentation, and territory management.
- Collaborate with internal departments to promote and market our home respiratory therapy services.
- Ensure prompt and accurate billing and documentation of services in accordance with third-party payor guidelines.
- Provide timely patient contact and response to patient needs.
- Achieve or exceed sales quotas and complete other duties/projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Resourceful problem solver with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Well-connected with established relationships among Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Hospitalist physicians (required).
- Able to provide three letters of recommendation from Pulmonologist physicians (required).
- Possession of a current, valid, and active state driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Compliance with VieMed’s COVID-19 vaccination policy (proof of vaccination required upon a conditional offer of employment).
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external referral sources.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with physicians, staff, and patients.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, and territory management skills with a commitment to achieving sales goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous LTACH marketing and/or LTACH clinical liaison experience.
- Clinical experience with demonstrated skills in patient assessment.
- Formal sales training and experience in full life cycle healthcare sales.
