Certified Medical Assistant Family Care - Fulltime, Days

Position Overview

Fast-paced, high-volume clinic looking for a top skilled Certified Medical Assistant. The position is full-time, requiring 40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday (8am-5pm) with rotating Saturdays (9am-12pm, approximately every 10 weeks). The work location is at 2701 Sunset Ridge Rockwall, TX 75032. The department highlights include advancement opportunities, a family-oriented facility, and great teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process
• Conducts patient check out, surgery scheduling and post operative calls as primary function of position
• Communicates with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician
• Provides for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights
• May work in the front office as needed
• May perform other duties as assigned by practice manager, more senior staff, or as requested by healthcare provider(s)

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
• CMA - Current Medical Assistant Certification (REQUIRED)

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Medical Assistant (PREFERRED)
• ACLS or BCLS upon hire (PREFERRED)
