Job Description
Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the Host — Poolside Restaurants is to greet and seat guests in an efficient and friendly manner. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Location: The Venetian Resort Las Vegas
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures guests are greeted and seated in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Provides impeccable service and creates a memorable guest experience.
- Utilizes computer and seating software to provide accurate seating times.
- Communicates effectively with guests in person and by phone.
- Assists servers and bussers as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintains a polished and presentable appearance.
- Performs cleaning duties for tables and other areas as required.
- Adheres to safety protocols and demonstrates consistent and regular attendance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Observes Company Standards of Conduct by maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age; proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States; must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Health card and any required certification or license.
- Experience Required: Minimum 6 months of experience in a luxury environment or similar experience.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Qualifications: Ability to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written; strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Requirements: Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Work is performed in an indoor/outdoor environment with temperatures ranging from 40°F to 120°F; must be able to lift or carry 30 pounds unassisted and perform tasks that require prolonged periods of walking, standing, stretching, bending, and kneeling.
