In this full-time, first-shift role at a vibrant community hospital in the charming city of lakes, you will play a crucial part in facilitating transformative diagnostic outcomes while collaborating with a dedicated team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and specialized clinical laboratory analyses across various fields such as chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more.
- Evaluate the accuracy of results, troubleshoot discrepancies, and perform preventive maintenance and calibration on lab equipment.
- Assist in specimen collection and sample preparation for analysis.
- Document all procedures, train new colleagues or students, and ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace in adherence with regulatory and accreditation guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent allied health degree.
- ASCP or AMT Board Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science to be obtained within the first year of employment and maintained actively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and problem-solve in high-pressure environments with exceptional attention to detail.
