Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to the apprentice level crew members.
- Install conduit and/or MC-HL type cable according to the NEC code.
- Install and troubleshoot various relays, VFDs, wireless or hard-wired instrumentation and controllers.
- Work on process, compression, and metering equipment used in the upstream and midstream oilfield sectors.
- Apply knowledge in installing electrical power, control, measurement, and safety systems for upstream and midstream operations.
- Generate and communicate detailed work records and paperwork effectively.
- Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation, EFMs, and cell modems.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient in modifications and understanding electrical schematics and drawings.
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, switchgear, and circuit types with robust troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work on low voltage and medium voltage equipment and circuits.
- Familiarity with common electrical components in the oil and gas industry.
- Skilled at installing, wiring, and loop testing PLCs, RTUs, and EFMs.
- Works safely with a keen ability to recognize potential hazards.
- Capable of handling pressure, demonstrating positive leadership in challenging situations.
- Detail-oriented and results-driven with a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and meeting deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving, technical, and multitasking skills with a willingness to learn.
- Experience in instrumentation and electrical systems with a minimum of five (5) years in the industrial oil and gas sectors.
- Proven track record in all phases of projects for installing instrumentation and electrical systems/equipment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, up to date with NFPA 70E (NEC code) standards, and relevant regulatory safety training.
- Reside within an hour of Oklahoma City, possess a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel 10%.
- Familiarity with key tools and equipment including a digital camera, multimeter, megger, amp probe, calibration equipment, handheld electrical tools, and a laptop for configuring EFMs, cell modems, and radio networks.
- Willingness to work weekends and/or overtime when deadlines or customer requests demand, with the ability to work primarily in the field under time pressures.
