Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

Position Overview
SGS, the global leader in inspection, verification, testing and certification services, is seeking a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant. In this role, you will provide essential front office and administrative support by greeting visitors, managing calls, supporting data entry, overseeing office supplies, and performing general office maintenance. You will also be key in ensuring adherence to company policies and maintaining a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet visitors, issue visitor badges, and direct them along with callers to the appropriate parties while answering basic questions.
- Answer, correctly route, and/or transfer calls; take accurate messages.
- Maintain security awareness and liaise with building management and vendors to ensure proper services and repairs are performed.
- Perform computer data entry, manage inventory of office supplies, and sort/deliver mail.
- Handle general office maintenance, including stocking coffee rooms, machines, and copiers.
- Follow up on payment status/collections and order office supplies as required.
- Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong customer service background
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Scheduling/meeting experience
- Experience with Oracle BOSS is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
