REMOTE Modeling and Simulation Engineer

Position Overview

IG is seeking a subject matter expert who will lead state-of-the-art materials development and evaluation through modeling, simulation, and software development. This role is responsible for delivering innovative materials and manufacturing solutions by driving innovations in material simulation and automating modeling across multiple domains including manufacturing processes, microstructure evolution, and crystal plasticity.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead materials development: Oversee the creation, evaluation, and innovation in materials through advanced modeling, simulation, and software development.
• Drive simulation innovations: Automate and accelerate modeling across manufacturing processes, microstructure evolution, and crystal plasticity by leveraging collaborative software development.
• Collaborate within the ecosystem: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver state-of-the-art materials and manufacturing solutions for our customers.
