Role and Responsibilities:
As a Logistics Support Associate, your main responsibility will be to manage the smooth movement of materials within the warehouse. Your tasks will involve inventory control, order fulfillment, and process improvements, all while maintaining high safety standards.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments and store materials securely.
- Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipment, ensuring precise and timely delivery.
- Operate warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks safely to transport materials as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor materials via warehouse management systems.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks to ensure timely deliveries.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free workspace.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance warehouse processes and improve operational efficiency.
Required Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in warehouse operations, material handling, or distribution environments.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and report generation.
- Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and perform manual tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift certification or prior experience with material handling equipment.
- Experience in high-energy environments, especially within manufacturing or snack food sectors.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory tracking software.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly pay: Range from $16 to $35, based on experience and qualifications (for a 40-hour workweek).
