We redefine the familiar by bringing elevated materials, detail-oriented design, and unparalleled adaptability to furniture and lighting across varied spaces. Along with our core studio, we operate Quarters – a multifaceted retail and hospitality space – expanding our creative and operational footprint.
We are seeking a strategic, systems-minded Director of Supply Chain to oversee and evolve the manufacturing, inventory, assembly, and fulfillment ecosystem across internal teams and external partners. Reporting directly to a Co-Founder and collaborating with Finance, Product Operations, Sales, and Business Operations, you will lead the Production, Procurement, Inventory, and Logistics teams while building processes, capacity models, and planning frameworks that support scalable growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Oversight (35%)
- Lead four teams – Production, Procurement, Inventory, and Logistics – fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Build a high-performing department that supports current operations and future scale with clear roles, responsibilities, and workflows.
- Proactively troubleshoot issues by identifying root causes, reducing friction, and strengthening cross-functional handoffs.
- Maintain and refine a supply chain architecture balancing craft-driven production with efficiency, cost-effectiveness, multi-sourcing, and resilience.
- Partner with Product Operations to execute approved supply chain workflows and resolve vendor and production issues.
- Oversee each functional group:
- Production: Assembly, packing, receiving, organization, prototype support, installations, and photo shoot assistance.
- Procurement: Purchasing across manufacturing vendors and 3PL partners, managing vendor relationships, lead times, pricing, order cadence, and production readiness.
- Inventory: Ensuring inventory accuracy, cycle counts, receiving operations, warehouse organization, SKU management, quality control, and stock movement.
- Logistics: Overseeing end-to-end shipping, routing, white glove deliveries, domestic and international freight, 3PL coordination, and fulfillment efficiency, including creative production for photography, video, and event content.
- Strategic Planning & Growth (35%)
- Design and execute long-term supply chain strategies that support scalable growth while maintaining quality, margin targets, and operational resilience.
- Lead the demand and capacity planning process, translating sales goals and product roadmaps into purchasing forecasts, production plans, and inventory needs.
- Align supply chain strategy with the company's expansion plans including new categories, geographies, and increased operational complexity.
- Identify opportunities to enhance scalability, reduce bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and optimize cost structures.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to ensure inventory projections, budget planning, and vendor diversification strategies align with growth objectives.
- Performance & Reporting (30%)
- Own key supply chain KPIs such as on-time and accurate order fulfillment, production throughput, inventory accuracy, vendor performance, cost of goods, and fulfillment efficiency.
- Achieve margin goals through cost-reduction initiatives, negotiation, and enhanced operational efficiency.
- Mitigate supply chain risks along the sourcing, production, capacity, logistics, and fulfillment dimensions.
- Ensure data accuracy and collaborate with Business Operations to align BOMs, SKUs, product data, and financial systems.
- Develop reporting structures that provide clear visibility into supply chain performance for leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Director Level Expectations
- Set the vision and plan long-term goals while navigating complex, multi-functional operations.
- Drive outcomes through scalable systems, cross-functional initiatives, and clear success metrics.
- Mentor and develop managers and senior individual contributors, fostering accountability and growth.
- Oversee multi-team operations, coordinating resources and priorities to ensure high-performance execution.
- Champion continuous improvement by measuring results, analyzing performance, and implementing enhanced processes.
- Ensure the development and maintenance of clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or equivalent process documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of supply chain experience, including 5+ years in a strategic, multi-team leadership role within the lighting, furniture, homeware, or adjacent manufacturing industries.
- Experience with small-batch, made-to-order, handcrafted, or hybrid manufacturing models and scaled production exposure.
- Proven track record of scaling operations through significant revenue growth.
- Deep expertise in production planning, procurement, logistics, inventory management, and vendor development.
- Experience managing domestic and international suppliers and executing multi-sourcing strategies.
- Strong financial literacy with experience in COGS management, margin improvement, and cost planning.
- Proficiency in workflow management tools and operational software.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or MBA strongly preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Benefits & Perks
- Compensation: $140,000-$190,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
- Full-time position based in Gowanus, Brooklyn.
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 am to 6 pm EST.
