Position Overview

Mastercard is a global technology company powering economies and empowering people in more than 200 countries. The Data Center Engineering Team is seeking a Platform Engineer II to support the design, architecture, implementation, security, and maintenance of our multi-site, multi-vendor data center environments. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, detail oriented, and passionate about customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and implement Data Center projects.
  • Develop detailed requirements for upgrading existing Mastercard Data Center equipment and re-architect solutions for new technologies and growth.
  • Diagnose and resolve network communications and operations issues impacting global data center performance.
  • Participate in various data center-related initiatives.
  • Research and develop innovative solutions for unified data center operations.
  • Support regional projects through planning, time and cost control, resource allocation, and implementation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 to 3 years of IT experience, including installation and maintenance of data center hardware such as switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, storage systems, and servers (blade and rack mount).
  • Experience with circuit support, troubleshooting, and network diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with management interfaces (iDRAC, iLO, CIMC) and configuring network ports.
  • Exposure to Data Center Infrastructure Management tools and project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of the Mainframe environment and connectivity is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to work effectively as a team member.
