Position Overview
Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC, headquartered in Dallas, is a regulated electricity transmission and distribution business that uses superior asset management skills to provide reliable electricity delivery to consumers. Oncor (together with its subsidiaries) operates the largest transmission and distribution system in Texas, delivering power to nearly 4 million homes and businesses and operating more than 143,000 miles of transmission and distribution lines in Texas. As a Distribution Materials Specialist at Oncor you will determine and prioritize which jobs will be kitted or filled internally or externally. This role has direct interaction with engineering, construction, and suppliers to determine needs. In this role, you will maintain appropriate inventory levels, determine what work will be performed by contractors, ensure areas are environmentally compliant and ensure environmental and governmental records are completed timely and filed according to regulations.
Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities
- Kits material for projects and inventory replenishment for Transmission & Distribution
- Checks the accuracy and application appropriateness of requested material
- Resolves and assists with material issues with external and internal stakeholders
- Supports bulk orderings in Spring and Fall by creating Purchase Requisitions and tracking Purchase Orders
- Supports Distribution Automation program and other special construction projects
- Handles email box and incoming calls for Distribution Materials Center
- Responds to call-out schedule to support emergency and storms for Transmission & Distribution
- Docks material and resolves inventory issues
- Participates in annual inventory count
- Supports Transmission & Distribution system warehousing technical applications, Maximo and Velocity
- Monitors Transmission & Distribution inventory levels and makes adjustments as required to meet inventory value objectives
- Maintains knowledge of various materials, manufacturers, product descriptions, and applications
- Maintains a professional and effective relationship with external and internal stakeholders
- Provides subject matter expertise, recommendations, and field support for Oncor construction and maintenance activities
- Ensures compliance, accuracy, and alignment to Supply Chain management's performance expectations
- Accurately completes, files, and maintains required governmental, SOX, and environmental data
- Assists in scheduling and planning of Transmission & Distribution outbound logistics operations
- Participates in monthly Federal Energy Regulatory Commission cycle counts for Transmission & Distribution
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements: Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
- 2+ years of Supply Chain related experience is preferred
- Experience and understanding of Maximo and Velocity
- Strong customer service and project management skills
- Strong written and oral communication
- Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment
- Knowledge of the Transmission construction sequence
- Capability with the Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications
- Applicants with an AA, AS, BA/BS in Supply Chain or Logistics are encouraged to apply
