Job Description

Position Overview

Treats all assigned patients and executes on treatment plans as outlined by the plan of care. Serves as an educator for patients, families, students, co-workers, and supports self‐professional advancement. Performs other professional duties associated with patient care, development of therapy programs, and engagement and development of interdisciplinary teams.

Department: Rehabilitation Services | Schedule: Part-time/Day Shift | Facility: St. John’s Hospital | Location: Springfield, IL | Scheduled Weekly Hours: 20 | Compensation aligned with your experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Treat assigned patients and execute treatment plans as outlined in the plan of care.
  • Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and co-workers.
  • Contribute to the development of therapy program services and the engagement of interdisciplinary teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate (e.g., Associate) from an accredited program meeting state licensure requirements.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Certified BLS or completion within the first 90 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Board Certification meeting rigorous standards of maintenance or certification.
