Business Intelligence Data Analyst

Position Overview

Journey with us! Join Royal Caribbean Group’s Data Analytics and AI Team as a full time Business Intelligence Data Analyst reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Intelligence. You will work as part of the Enterprise BI Solutions team assisting business stakeholders in developing end-to-end BI solutions, defining data requirements, and ensuring best practices and optimal performance. This is an in-person role at our headquarters in Miami, Florida.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist internal stakeholders in understanding their BI and data needs and support the development of dashboards, routine reports, automated reporting tools, ad-hoc reports, and critical business analytics.
• Collaborate with business leaders and subject matter experts to identify strategic opportunities to enhance decision-making, improve revenue, reduce costs, and streamline operations through BI solutions.
• Support Power BI systems administration by managing user access, security settings, and workspace management to ensure optimal performance.
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models while implementing best practices for data visualization and performance optimization.
• Contribute to the BI Center of Excellence by sharing knowledge, providing training, and establishing enterprise-wide standards and methodologies.
• Stay informed on emerging BI, AI, data analytics, and data integration trends, recommending new strategies and tools as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in BI/data dashboard and report development.
• Strong familiarity with BI systems, data integration, and the development of analytics solutions.
• Proficiency in Power BI along with experience in its administration, including managing user access and security settings.
• Experience with data integration and orchestration platforms such as Azure Data Factory or similar.
• Solid understanding of SQL development best practices using Oracle PL/SQL, Transact SQL, or Python.
• Knowledge of BI system architecture and database platforms across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with non-technical business partners.
• Strong project, time management, and teamwork skills.
