Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales and Marketing to generate top-line sales and develop target markets. This role is responsible for planning and implementing the marketing, sales, and service strategies for DAVCO products to OEMs and end-user customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Sales and Marketing to effectively meet business plan targets.
  • Establish and implement plans to achieve or exceed yearly sales revenue targets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with on-highway OEMs, engine manufacturers, ATMUS Filtration, and key distributors/dealers.
  • Contact and develop relationships with key end-user customers.
  • Identify and develop new market opportunities.
  • Establish product marketing strategies and support material.
  • Recommend new products and pricing strategies to maximize profitability and long-term market share.
  • Ensure product service requirements and customer support are maintained.
  • Monitor competitive products and marketing activities.
  • Foster a cross-functional team approach to projects and problem solving.
  • Forecast operating costs, direct budget preparation, and meet yearly cost targets.
  • Develop and coordinate training for direct reports.
  • Ensure the department meets certification criteria for the IATF16949 program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8 to 10 years of progressively responsible sales experience.
  • 5 to 7 years of management/supervisory experience.
  • Strong technical product sales background with experience in diesel engine and/or diesel vehicle equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Proven experience with budgeting and quality control.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Fluency in English.

Job Type: Full-time | Schedule: 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday | Willingness to travel: 50% (Preferred) | Work Location: Hybrid remote in Saline, MI 48176
