Cyber Security Associate

Position Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for an OPSEC Technical Analyst to identify and mitigate risks to sensitive information. This role is located at Lackland AFB, TX and is an on-site position.

Key Responsibilities

• Correlates threat data from various sources to establish the identity and modus operandi of hackers active in client's networks.
• Identifies and mitigates risks to sensitive information by analyzing threats, vulnerabilities, and potential impacts.
• Develops and implements OPSEC plans, ensuring compliance with USAF/DoD policies, standards, and OPSEC guidelines.
• Performs regular reviews of facilities, assets, and activities to verify effective OPSEC measures.
• Educates USAF personnel on OPSEC principles, methodologies, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 6 - 9 years (or commensurate experience)
• Clearance Required: TS/SCI
• 6+ years of experience developing and implementing OPSEC plans
• Knowledge of USAF/DoD OPSEC principles and practices
• Understanding of relevant USAF/DoD policies and regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Air Force OPSEC Course (AFOC), Defense OPSEC Planners Course (DOPC), Joint Information Planners Course (JIPC) Phase II, or an equivalent OPSEC qualification
