Job Description

Position Overview

Perform data and error analysis to improve models, and clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy. Execute data science and statistical analytical experiments methodically to help solve various problems and make a true impact across various healthcare domains. Develop and deploy advanced machine learning models and AI solutions that enhance our products and services. Leverage expertise in data science, machine learning, and AI technologies to derive insights from large datasets and create predictive models that drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Extract meaningful insights from complex datasets, identify patterns, and interpret data to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Machine Learning Model Development: Design, develop, and train machine learning models using various algorithms and techniques including supervised, unsupervised, deep, and reinforcement learning.
  • Agentic Workflows Implementation: Develop and implement agentic workflows utilizing AI agents for autonomous task execution to enhance operational efficiency.
  • RAG Pattern Utilization: Employ retrieval-augmented generation techniques to improve the performance of language models by leveraging external knowledge.
  • Model Fine-Tuning: Fine-tune pre-trained models for specific tasks or datasets to ensure optimal performance.
  • Data Cleaning and Preprocessing: Prepare data by performing cleaning, handling missing values, and removing outliers.
  • AI Model Deployment and Monitoring: Deploy models into production, monitor performance, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams including software engineers, product managers, and business analysts to integrate AI solutions.
  • Research and Development: Stay updated with the latest AI and machine learning advancements to continually enhance methodologies.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document models, methodologies, and results; clearly communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Mentorship: Guide and coach junior data scientists.
  • Business Collaboration: Partner with business and technology teams to build ML models that improve star ratings, reduce care gaps, and meet other business objectives.
  • Analytical Reporting: Present complex analytical information clearly across all audience levels and manage delivery of analytical projects.
  • Ad-hoc Duties: Adapt to changing business requirements by identifying data solutions and referring opportunities to the appropriate teams.
  • Trend Analysis: Use various tools and techniques to extract insights from industry or sector trends.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
  • 6+ years' work experience as a data scientist, preferably in a healthcare environment (candidates with relevant experience from other industries will be considered)
  • Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and familiarity with relational database and SDLC concepts
  • Strong programming skills in Python and R, with experience in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch
  • Excellent understanding of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms (e.g., k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, neural networks)
  • Experience in designing and implementing agentic workflows utilizing AI agents
  • Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques and their application in AI models
  • Proven expertise in fine-tuning models for specific tasks to meet performance metrics
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to effectively present complex insights
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, data warehousing, and ETL processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to devise innovative solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD or additional relevant experience
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Azure AI Studio) for AI workflows and model deployment
  • Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision techniques
