Position Overview
Harjai Technologies (HCPL Global Consulting & Services) is a pioneering Management & IT consulting firm that transforms best practice concepts into effective organizational capabilities across Government, Banking, Private and Commercial Sectors. We are seeking a UX Designer (Human Factors & Medical Device Domain) to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA on a FTE/Permanent basis. You will be responsible for designing intuitive user interfaces for medical devices and applications while ensuring compliance with established UX standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Design user interfaces for medical devices and applications with a focus on User Experience.
- Translate user needs and clinical workflows into intuitive UI/UX designs, including proofs of concept.
- Apply UX standards such as IEC 62366 and FDA Human Factors guidelines.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs using tools like Figma and Sketch.
- Conduct user testing and iterate designs based on feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, clinicians, and regulatory experts.
- Document design decisions and compare intended design vs actual implementation.
- Utilize design language systems (DLS) to create GUI designs, including low fidelity, high fidelity screens and clickable prototypes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human Factors, Interaction Design, or a related field from a reputed institution.
- Minimum 3 years of UI/UX design experience, preferably in the medical device domain.
- Strong knowledge of usability guidelines and standards (e.g., IEC 62366, FDA Human Factors guidance).
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, and Sketch.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a regulated environment and understand compliance requirements.
