Position Overview
Big Hit Creative Group is an Integrated Marketing Agency with over 2 decades of successful marketing experience. We provide a collaborative, flexible, and lighthearted environment for our team members. We are looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our marketing team to help with creating client mockups, designing email campaigns, updating social media posts, and refreshing web pages. This role requires a self-driven, organized professional who can independently prioritize work, communicate clearly with team members, and act with a strong sense of urgency. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable industry experience and discover what it’s like to work behind the scenes of a creative advertising agency.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Creative Director and other team members to create materials for both web and print promotions.
- Create graphics and design layouts for flyers, email newsletters, PowerPoints, digital ads, blogs, and social media campaigns.
- Incorporate UI/UX best practices in website design and layout.
- Prepare mockups, preflight files for print, and other publications.
- Design visual elements such as logos, original images, and illustrations to effectively convey messages.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Google Docs.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for making page updates.
- Consistently productive with strong time management skills.
- Excellent accuracy and file organizational skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills.
- Professional, responsible, and resourceful attitude.
- A passion for creativity.
- Ability to actively listen and understand project requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience creating graphics and a solid understanding of user interface design for the web.
- Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Understanding of the design process with insights into typography principles and color theory; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with WordPress is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and open environment.
- Willingness to follow direction and continuously learn on the job.
