Job Description
Position Overview
ONEOK is looking for a Lead Operator USW in Tulsa, OK. This role works rotating 12-hour shifts with occasional OT and Call-out. Covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the Lead Operator ensures that all product movements and associated equipment comply with regulations, maintain reliability, ensure accurate measurements, and uphold product quality. They are responsible for overall product movement and facility operations during their shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and direct the Operator on all product movements into and out of the station or terminal by coordinating with the area scheduler, refineries, and product quality teams.
- Perform mainline operations including pumping units, transferring product to storage vessels, making valve lineups, and operating refined product pumps.
- Conduct product sampling, measure physical stock and meter readings, and input data into computer programs.
- Conduct daily facility inspections and provide support for a 6-spot loading and unloading rack.
- Participate on the facility emergency response team and assist technicians with maintenance duties as directed by the Supervisor.
- Comply with Company policies and procedures, including the System Integrity Plan (SIP) and OQ requirements, and actively participate in safety training meetings.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
- At least three years’ applicable experience is preferred.
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work under stressful conditions and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Proficiency in using a personal computer with the Windows operating system.
- Flexibility to work on both scheduled shifts and on a call-out basis.
