Position Overview

The purpose of this role is to provide asynchronous instruction for Data Analytics and Visualization (DAV) graduate students and to convey knowledge of multiple elements of data analytics from a professional perspective.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an engaging asynchronous online learning environment via Canvas.
- Collaborate with program leadership and faculty.
- Hold virtual office hours weekly and respond to student communications within 24 hours.
- Provide core instruction by designing and delivering asynchronous learning materials including video lectures, interactive exercises, and discussion forums.
- Prepare asynchronous lesson plans by sourcing supplementary materials and ensuring course content aligns with learning objectives.
- Evaluate and provide timely feedback on student work while maintaining a current gradebook.
- Maintain and update the Canvas course throughout the term, including syllabus updates and assignment management.
- Work with the curriculum team to establish program and course learning objectives, standardize rubrics and syllabi, and structure course materials.
Required Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of Data Analysis and Visualization subject matter.
- Experience with asynchronous instruction and online learning environments such as Canvas and video conferencing platforms.
- Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools such as R, Tableau, Excel, Python, and Adobe Illustrator.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with proven and relevant professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field with proven professional experience.
- Experience teaching in an online or asynchronous format.
- Expert knowledge of data visualization tools such as R, Tableau, Python, and D3.

- Compensation: $4,515.00 - $7,656.00 (commensurate with experience)
