Position Overview
Join Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center as a Medical Surgical Nurse. Key Responsibilities
- Assess the patient's condition during admission and each shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes.
- Perform procedures, administer medications, and document care accurately and thoroughly.
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and anticipating their needs.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up measures.
- Maintain a calm and directive presence in crisis or emergency situations, effectively leading the team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent
- BSN preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years acute care experience (Med Surg experience preferred)
- Appropriate to patient population and level of care
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada
- BLS certification
