Position Overview

Join Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center as a Medical Surgical Nurse. Key Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes.
• Perform procedures, administer medications, and document care accurately and thoroughly.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and anticipating their needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up measures.
• Maintain a calm and directive presence in crisis or emergency situations, effectively leading the team.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent
• BSN preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years acute care experience (Med Surg experience preferred)
• Appropriate to patient population and level of care
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada
• BLS certification
