The Resident Accounts Specialist (RAS) serves as a key point of contact for residents, handling account inquiries, performing administrative operations in systems like Salesforce and Yardi, coordinating property visits, and ensuring the smooth operation of market offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a high degree of customer service in all resident interactions, both in writing and in person.
- Act as a primary market liaison, managing daily email, text, and phone correspondence with residents.
- Manage and complete Salesforce case tasks promptly to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
- Address and resolve minor resident concerns or disputes.
- Partner with central teams to drive rental collections, minimize evictions, and reduce delinquency.
- Assist residents with balance payments, eviction cures, and rent stability efforts.
- Prepare for and appear in court on behalf of the company as needed.
- Ensure timely repossession of assets in the event of eviction and manage related processes.
- Process payments received at the physical office in accordance with company policy.
- Conduct move-in and move-out operations using Yardi, and review/approve resident charges related to service requests.
- Demonstrate knowledge of standard lease provisions and resident rules and regulations.
- Research resident ledger disputes and process credit requests appropriately.
- Provide relevant information and timelines to central support teams during resident complaints.
- Assist residents with Rent Café, renter’s insurance, early terminations, transfers, and utilities.
- Post notices at homes and conduct occupancy/utility checks as needed.
- Perform move-in orientation activities, warm calls, office management, and in-person payment processing as assigned.
- Carry out additional duties as directed by the supervisor to support both residents and company objectives.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate required.
- 3+ years’ property management experience in the single-family or multi-family rental industry.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships internally and externally.
- Professional presence and confidence in interacting with residents.
- Capacity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing, growth environment.
- High ethical standards with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings and weekends as required.
- Comfort with new technology and proven competency in MS Office.
- Real Estates license and Property Manager Permit required in the state of Nevada.
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to attend court hearings when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree a plus.
- Additional customer service experience a plus.
- Previous use of Yardi Voyager and Salesforce a plus.
