Supply Chain Intern

Position Overview

The Logistics Intern is responsible for supporting the operational execution and management of transportation for Yusen's Supply Chain Solutions customers. The team supported includes Logistics Operations, Account Management, Carrier Management, and Reporting. This role is hybrid onsite based out of Jacksonville, FL.

Key Responsibilities

• Track shipments via phone, email, and websites to ensure on time pickup and delivery.
• Proactively manage delays and exceptions and escalate as needed.
• Review loads for customer invoicing requirements accurately and timely.
• Update customer orders/loads via phone, email, or online portals.
• Run system reports and work with Excel.
• Participate in Kaizen projects.
• Gain knowledge of transportation planning and routing processes.
• Understand the US/CA/MX carrier base landscape.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

• Active degree-seeking student enrolled in a relevant degree program (Transportation & Logistics, Supply Chain Management, etc.) and within 12-24 months of graduation.
• Maximum 30 hours per week; Hours flexible.
• Multi-task between accounts while maintaining high accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work across multiple system platforms.
• Proactive in seeking new ideas for continuous improvement.
• Inspires trust, works with integrity, and upholds organizational values.
• Demonstrates core competencies in problem-solving, decision-making, accountability, responsibility, communication, collaboration, teamwork, and customer focus.
