We are seeking a Marketing Leader for our Higher Education and Healthcare sectors. This role is based in Columbus, Denver, Minneapolis, Nashville, Phoenix—with other locations considered. As part of our Marketing team, you will guide strategic marketing activity, support growth and awareness, and lead a team dedicated to promoting the firm’s design acumen and value proposition.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor trends and analyze the 12-24-36 month performance and growth outlook to identify breakthrough positioning strategies in collaboration with sector leadership.
- Manage and mentor a cross-functional marketing, media, and creative team to achieve brand awareness and drive growth in alignment with sector business initiatives.
- Develop the annual marketing communications plan, including content strategy and calendar for multi-channel integrated marketing campaigns and client-facing initiatives.
- Master a creative vision for sector-based content marketing across digital and print channels, elevating storytelling through compelling media.
- Lead the development of storytelling and manage sector page/content on dlrgroup.com.
- Establish and measure KPIs to track the impact of marketing campaigns, analyze results, and optimize strategies to maximize outcomes.
- Identify systemic issues or improvement opportunities in overall marketing metrics and deliverables within designated sectors.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Marketing, Brand, or Communications—preferably within the AEC or design industry.
- Experience effectively communicating with public sector audiences, including government institutions.
- Proven track record of tying marketing activity to measurable business outcomes.
- Deep understanding of content marketing strategies and best practices for effective execution.
- Action-oriented with strong project and people management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exceptional prioritization skills to focus on established strategic directions.
- A growth mindset with a commitment to continuously improve processes and outcomes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (including PowerPoint and Teams) and familiarity with database tools (Deltek Vision preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and passion for hiring, managing, and mentoring a high-performing team.
- Strategic thinking ability to break down complex issues into actionable initiatives.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign.

- Compensation: $100,000 - $115,000 USD (based on location, experience, and skills).
