Our Transportation team in Texas is looking for a motivated Project Engineer/ Drainage Engineer to work on highway and bridge projects in Austin, Round Rock, or Dallas TX. In this role, you'll contribute to transportation designs, perform drainage and hydraulic analyses, and mentor fellow staff members. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the preparation of contract drainage drawings, specifications, and estimates while overseeing the creation of project-specific drainage/hydraulic reports and technical documentation.
  • Conduct cross drainage hydraulic analysis and design.
  • Perform drainage analysis and design per project requirements and transportation public agencies such as TxDOT.
  • Prepare and review FEMA CLOMR and LOMRs.
  • Develop storm sewer, cross drainage, and floodplain models using Open Roads Designer (ORD), ORD Drainage and Utilities (ORD DU), HY-8, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Registered PE in Texas.
  • 5+ years of experience working on drainage-related projects.
  • Proficiency in using HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS (steady, unsteady flow, and two-dimensional), ORD DU, and/or other drainage analysis software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred CFM certification.
  • Floodplain mapping experience is a plus.
