Job Description

Position Overview

At QualitySmith – a subsidiary of Reply! Inc. located in Portland, OR – the Search Engine Marketing Specialist will manage our SEM and PPC efforts in the home improvement vertical. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys a startup culture, values teamwork, and thrives in a dynamic, risk-taking environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement SEM campaigns to grow profitable search engine marketing opportunities.
  • Set up bulk sheets, write ad copy, maximize CTR, and increase quality scores through optimization techniques.
  • Develop, expand, and optimize campaigns and ad groups, including keyword lists, ad copy titles, and descriptions.
  • Keep abreast of competitors’ strategies and keyword portfolios.
  • Perform daily reporting and in-depth quantitative analysis of KPIs to improve performance.
  • Provide analysis and risk vs. reward modeling for engine and keyword expansion.
  • Assist with conversion optimization strategies and A/B landing page testing.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • At least 1 year of SEM experience with campaign development and analytics.
  • A guerrilla sensibility with an appetite for risk and a willingness to innovate.
  • High competitive metabolism, strong work ethic, and self-direction.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Financial analysis skills are a strong plus.
  • Experience handling high budget accounts.
