Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Trainee will participate in a structured training program to learn all aspects of fastener manufacturing. This entry-level role is designed for individuals who are looking to build a career in the manufacturing industry and develop the skills necessary for future advancement. The Manufacturing Trainee will work alongside experienced team members, assist in various production tasks, and gain exposure to machine operation, quality control, and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in a comprehensive training program to learn about fastener manufacturing processes, machinery, and industry standards.
- Receive hands-on training in machine setup, operation, and maintenance.
- Learn to read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to understand production requirements.
- Develop an understanding of the thread rolling, machining, and quality control processes.
Production Support:
- Assist machine operators and production staff with daily manufacturing tasks, including loading materials, machine setup, and ensuring smooth production operations.
- Monitor production runs and assist with inspections to ensure that parts meet quality standards.
- Work alongside team members to help maintain an efficient production schedule and minimize downtime.
Quality Control:
- Support the quality control team in inspecting and measuring parts using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Learn to identify quality issues and report them to the Production Manager.
- Ensure that all parts produced meet the required specifications and standards.
Safety & Maintenance:
- Follow safety procedures and best practices while working in a manufacturing environment.
- Ensure that workstations and equipment are kept clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Participate in safety training and help maintain a safe work environment for all team members.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of production tasks, machine settings, and inspections.
- Report progress, issues, and machine performance to supervisors and managers as required.
- Follow all documentation guidelines in compliance with company policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); technical education or interest in manufacturing is a plus.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop skills in manufacturing and fastener production.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing principles, mechanical systems, and tools is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward improving processes.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain safety standards.
