Job Description

Position Overview

Visa is hiring a Financial Data Analyst to join the Center of Excellence (CoE) team within Visa Revenue Operations & Global Operating Certificates (“Revenue Ops”). This role, based in the United States – Foster City, CA, offers a Hybrid way of working and is designed for candidates with 0 – 3 years of experience. The analyst will support revenue activities by developing and maintaining advanced analytics and automation tools that drive data-driven insights, process standardization, and efficiency in financial operations. Additionally, the role involves supporting SOX execution, internal/external audit activities, and strategic process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and implement process improvements using a variety of productivity tools.
  • Transform and harmonize data across multiple data sources.
  • Automate reporting and create dashboards/visuals to communicate results.
  • Analyze, summarize, and tell a compelling business story with the results achieved.
  • Drive standardization; identify, document, and monitor global GOC/Revenue processes.
  • Support GOC client reporting activities in preparation for quarter-end close.
  • Prepare statistical reports for publication and perform ad-hoc analyses as needed.
  • Develop strong partnerships to drive process and system efficiencies through automation and analytics projects.
  • Provide training on financial systems, policies, and processes.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business Management or equivalent.
  • Expertise in using advanced Microsoft Excel modules such as PowerQuery and VBA.
  • Experience with productivity and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent project and time management skills, with experience working in a global team across multiple time zones.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a dynamic and evolving environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a deadline-driven mindset and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Background in continuous improvement methodologies to drive increases in efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Additional desired skills include: 3+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years with an Advanced Degree; technical data skills in a business domain; experience using Python or R for data analytics; and familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI.
