Position Overview
Infosys, a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting, is seeking a Windows Administrator experienced in supporting various Windows operations support activities. In this role, you will help ensure seamless operation and maintenance of Windows servers and infrastructure while collaborating with diverse teams. Candidates should also be capable of extended periods working on a computer and demonstrate effective communication by telephone, email, and face-to-face.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship; Infosys is unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this role at this time.
- Location includes Canoga Park, CA; Richardson, TX; and Raleigh, NC. This position may require relocation and/or travel to client/project locations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in building, configuring, and sustaining operations support of Windows OS and Compute servers, including backups, restore configurations, and OS firewalls.
- Proficiency in setting up storage and networking on Windows physical servers and virtual machines.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMWare hypervisors and Nutanix Acropolis OS, along with OS patching and vulnerability remediation.
- Experience in decommissioning servers and associated application components while ensuring data sanitization.
- Solid working knowledge of Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, and networking fundamentals (IP addressing, routing, subnetting).
- Understanding of applications and services running on Windows OS including web services, middleware, SQL databases, clustering, and both custom and vendor-supported applications.
- Experience with Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager in addition to VMWare and Nutanix hypervisors.
- Hands-on experience with ZFS storage, file server migrations, and home directory migrations (including Azure File Server Migrations using DFS).
- Ability to work with scripting, Windows NTFS permissions, DFS, and tools like Robocopy, XCP, and Beyond Compare.
- Azure cloud workload support and configuration expertise.
- Excellent communication skills, customer focus, punctuality, process orientation, and relationship-building capabilities.
