Position: Associate Engineer
Department: Design Dept, Engineering Division
Two Positions Available
Salary: $11,492 - $13,881 per month
Location: Hybrid remote in Corte Madera, CA 94925
Schedule: Full-time

Join a design team leading critical infrastructure projects across a diverse $65 million capital program—including projects like Miracle Mile Pipeline Replacement, Hind Tanks Replacement, and Mill Valley Tank Rehabilitation—to drive meaningful design work from concept through construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs or performs the preparation of project schedules, designs, construction plans, cost estimates, specifications and bidding documents for a variety of District projects.
  • Prepares Requests for Proposals for consultants and administers consultants' work on projects.
  • Applies principles, practices, regulations, and methods of engineering work related to the design and construction, operation, and water quality of water systems projects, or field operations involved in the construction and maintenance of water system facilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in an engineering curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least three years of increasingly responsible engineering experience related to water system facilities planning, design, and construction, including one year of supervisory and/or project management experience.
  • A valid Professional Civil Engineering License in the State of California is required; out-of-state licenses may be considered at the Assistant Engineering level with potential advancement once California certification is obtained.
