Position Overview

M.C. Dean is Building Intelligence – designing, building, operating, and maintaining cyber‐physical solutions for critical facilities. As a key member of our service team, the Technology Specialist 1 is responsible for corrective and preventative maintenance on BMS systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and energy efficiency across mission‐critical environments. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, improve, and implement automation tools, configurations, and scripts for IT and OT systems.
• Lead planning and execution of system implementation, maintenance, and reconfiguration efforts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex functional, performance, and security issues.
• Manage assigned tasks independently and supervise others as needed.
• Develop and execute testing and commissioning procedures, including subsystem and system-level testing.
• Create detailed configuration specifications and procedures for systems and subsystems.
• Participate in technical demonstrations and contribute to proposal writing.
• Support risk management activities to mitigate impacts on system performance and security.
• Travel to customer sites for startups and on-site support in Northern VA and/or Washington DC.
• Work with BMS systems such as Distech Controls, Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, and Automated Logic, and HVAC systems or controls.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years of experience in installation, troubleshooting, and testing of electronic security systems, or an Associates degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Reliable attendance at customer sites during work hours is required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional nights and weekends.
• Willingness and ability to travel both CONUS and OCONUS.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Niagara 4, Distech Controls GFX, Siemens Desigo, or Alerton Compass.
• Service/maintenance experience troubleshooting BMS and/or HVAC issues.
