Position Overview

Join our growing team as a Digital Marketing Specialist (SEO Focus) at Strive Marketing. We help local businesses grow by generating real leads through smart digital marketing strategies including SEO, PPC, website design & development, and more. Our family-like, collaborative, and growth-focused culture supports every team member with training and mentorship. IMPORTANT: Job applicants must currently live in or near the Greater Sacramento, California area.

Work is primarily conducted in-office from Tuesday to Thursday, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays. This full-time role is perfect for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing and SEO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with keyword research to identify high-value search terms.
  • Help plan and optimize website content for SEO and user experience.
  • Audit websites for SEO improvements such as titles, metadata, and internal linking.
  • Learn to analyze website performance using Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console.
  • Support local SEO efforts by optimizing Google Business Profiles and directory listings.
  • Collaborate with content, design, and development teams to ensure SEO best practices are followed.
  • Create simple monthly reports showing client progress and visibility gains.
  • Stay up to date with the latest SEO, AI, and marketing trends.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of hands-on SEO or digital marketing experience, ideally in an agency setting.
  • Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO best practices.
  • Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Squarespace, or Shopify.
  • Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Moz.
  • Exposure to PPC advertising (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads).
  • Coursework or internship experience in marketing, communications, or business.
  • Experience writing or editing blog/website content.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript is a plus.
