Job Description

Position Overview

UW’s MARKETING ANALYTICS SPECIALIST plays a critical role within Housing & Food Services by gathering and analyzing data to drive effective marketing strategies. This role supports efforts to boost student engagement, occupancy, and resident satisfaction while underpinning our commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. Working in an environment known for its intellectual excitement and creative problem-solving, you will collaborate with Communications, Marketing, and HFS partners to help tell the story of on-campus living and dining.

Key Responsibilities

  • Extract and analyze data from HFS website, email campaigns, and social media using appropriate tools.
  • Develop accessible data visualizations and report findings with actionable recommendations.
  • Assess non-technical marketing efforts through surveys, interviews, and discussions with various stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with unit partners and UW stakeholders, managing multiple projects and timelines.
  • Ensure all recommendations align with UW and HFS brand guidelines and adhere to equity and inclusion practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, statistics, computer science, design, business, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively convey priorities and deliverables to diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in data mining, analysis, and split testing for digital channels (web/email/social media).
  • Strong technical knowledge of website analytics (including Google Analytics), email and social media analytics, and business intelligence tools.
  • Ability to learn emerging digital tools and maintain excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in marketing, statistics, computer science, design, business, or a related field.
  • Experience working in higher education.
