Position Overview
Cardinal Financial is a nationwide direct mortgage lender focused on creating solutions for borrowers, partners, and employees. This role is responsible for educating customers on company values, processes, and operations while guiding them through the loan process and ensuring exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine loan feasibility.
- Obtain and compile loan applicants' credit histories, financial statements, and other relevant information.
- Explain available loan types and credit options, including terms and conditions, to customers.
- Review loan agreements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Maintain customer confidentiality by safeguarding all loan information.
- Participate in continuing education courses to maintain necessary licenses and compliance.
- Collaborate with sales, processing, underwriting, closing, post-closing, and management teams to provide outstanding service.
- Originate sales by contacting prospective clients and developing referral sources.
- Meet clients in various settings, including outside the office and at clients' homes, to initiate sales.
- Achieve division-specific targets such as phone/talk time, locked loans, funded loans, realtor visits, applications, and credit pulls.
- Ensure standard pull-through rates and accuracy in loan applications.
- Adhere to company policies including attendance, punctuality, and overall compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Loan Originator is required.
- Must possess, or be able to obtain, a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license per the SAFE Act (with potential licensing in multiple states).
- Solid foundation of mortgage experience and exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to adapt to change, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.
