Job Description

Position Overview

At Disney, you will help encourage that magic by enabling teams to push the limits of entertainment and build the never-before-seen. In this role as an Operating Engineer, you will support both Disneyland® Resort theme parks by conducting operational and functional checks of central plants, ensuring that hot water, chilled water, and compressed air systems run flawlessly. You will troubleshoot and repair boilers, chillers, compressors and perform installations, maintenance, and quality checks to keep our Guests comfortable and our attractions operating at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support both Disneyland® Resort theme parks with operational and functional checks of central plants.
  • Provide direct support for resort-wide systems including hot water, chilled water, and compressed air.
  • Troubleshoot and repair systems and equipment such as boilers, chillers, and compressors.
  • Perform installations, routine maintenance, and quality checks on completed work.

Required Qualifications

  • You must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Journeyman Operating Engineer or maintenance machinist experience.
  • Must possess an Unlimited CFC license.
  • Background as a Utilities Man Class A or C, Boiler Technician Class A or C.
  • Ability to use special tools and equipment.
  • Familiarity with pumps, compressors, boilers, chiller units, cooling towers, and associated equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Familiarity with or ability to learn the Computerized Maintenance Management System (Maximo).

Preferred Qualifications

  • AA/AS in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or equivalent.
