Your Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the API platform to ensure smooth functioning and availability.
- Lead a team of production support engineers, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures to monitor and maintain the health and performance of the API platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, testing, and infrastructure, to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to optimize the performance and stability of the API platform.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders, such as business partners and senior management, to provide updates on the status of production issues and resolutions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the API platform and its support processes.
- Manage and prioritize a backlog of production support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when necessary.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics to track the effectiveness of the production support team and identify areas for improvement.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to the API platform and develop contingency plans to minimize downtime.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and cross-training among team members.
- Act as a subject matter expert for the API platform, providing guidance and support to other teams within the organization.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and abilities.
- Manage vendor relationships for third-party tools and services used in the support of the API platform.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including security and compliance standards, to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data on the API platform.
