Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to provide computer and user support through hardware/software installations, troubleshooting, and advanced technical support. In this role you will work on-site in a dynamic environment. This is a Contract position with Compensation: $23.13 - $27.85 per hour and an in-person work setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide computer and user support including the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software, as well as applying upgrades and patches.
  • Monitor the service ticket queue, document work performed, and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot audio-visual and videoconference equipment.
  • Offer basic network and telephony support, as well as on-site assistance for remote troubleshooting.
  • Deploy IT resources such as desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Perform minor hardware repairs and software troubleshooting using proven procedures.
  • Assist in coordinating audio-visual setups, videoconference support, annual inventory scanning, and managing equipment surplus.
  • Participate in team projects and meetings while adhering to departmental procedures and policies.
  • Document solutions to technology issues and travel to remote sites as needed.
  • Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and activities that require climbing, squatting, stooping, pushing, crawling, and bending.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience, with one year substituting for each year of education).
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven ability in configuring and deploying IT resources along with troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Demonstrated strong initiative, effective communication, customer service orientation, sound decision-making, flexibility, interpersonal, leadership, problem-solving, and quality assurance skills.
  • Proficiency in following and enforcing departmental procedures and policies.
  • Physical capability to perform manual tasks as required by the role.
