Position Overview

Blu Dot Design and Manufacturing, Inc. is an innovative, modern home furnishings company based in Minneapolis. As the Interior Designer - Brand Environments, you will collaborate with the Assortment and Retail teams, as well as our Environments, In-store, and Store Operations groups, to deliver expert interior design, merchandising, and spatial planning solutions across multiple stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Help to create floor sets and merchandising for stores
- Work with Regional Store Managers and Retail Operations teams on bi-annual store resets
- Act as a line of communication between Stores and the Environments team
- Ensure that merchandising standards are met and correctly implemented
- Collaborate with the Environments and Supply Chain teams to predict inventory and timing for new products
- Create and maintain Blu Dot standards for all stores
- Assist in new store planning and on-site execution during set-ups
- Support special Branded Environments projects and events
- Travel to stores as required for new store set-ups and floor refresh assistance
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in a related field (Interior Design, Architecture, Visual Merchandising) preferred
- Required ability to use drafting software; AutoCAD, SketchUp and/or Revit
- Highly proficient at completing projects independently, efficiently, and on time
- Willingness to learn and design within the Blu Dot brand identity
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft OS and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong organization skills, keen attention to detail, and excellent multi-tasking abilities
- A team player with the ability to lead when needed
- Exceptional communication and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy furniture and accessories
- Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally
